Synchronicity at the Booz Barn
Speaker system at the Booz Barn is playing “Don’t Stop” by Fleetwood Mac.

Woman in front of me is buying wine.

Back in ‘69, we bought a bottle of wine and went to the drive in movie.

Only problem was no corkscrew.

All we had was a ballpoint pen.

Jab jab, poke, poke; cork is going south.

We slugged down the wine with a gazillion little pieces of cork in it.

Don’t remember the wine; don’t remember the movie. I do recall the passion.

My turn to buy my wine. “Don’t Stop” is still playing on the P.A.

I set my wine down on the counter and say to the clerk...

“Yesterday’s gone; can’t argue with that.”

Clerk looks at me with an intense gaze. Kind of looks like the Soup Nazi.

Back in ‘69, we drank the wine, smoked a joint, made sweet love.

Yesterday's gone...
